Writers' Guidelines
Introduction
Gramercy Images Press welcomes new writers. Interesting story ideas are always invited for pitching. Consideration is based solely upon relevancy to our topics and the quality of your writing. We strive to create and encourage venues supportive of local and semi local writers to display and promote their work. Freelancers write a large percentage of our content. We are eager to hear your ideas.
Submitting a Query
Unsolicited articles and story outlines are not strictly prohibited, but we prefer that you send a query first. Query at least three months in advance for timely material and expect us to take at least four weeks to respond. Submit special event-based article queries at least four months in advance. Telephone queries are not accepted. If we like your proposal, we may ask to see it on speculation. Acceptance for review does not imply that the article will be published.
Pitches should take the form of an abstract and be about two paragraphs of detail including the direction the writer intends to take. The query should convey your approach, tone, style and qualifications to write on the topic. Your query letter should include: a tentative title, a brief summary, approximate length, and a brief description of photos or illustrations you wish to provide. Provide relevant information including links, sources and expertise. Kindly, include the writer's bio.
We function as a virtual office and prefer to hear from authors via e-mail. The best way to submit an article for consideration is via e-mail with an attachment, i.e., Microsoft Word, WordPerfect, Apple Works or simple text word document saved in Rich Text Format. Your full name, address, daytime telephone number and e-mail are necessary for contacting you.
Article Form and Length
Articles may range in length from 500 to 1000 words. Longer articles are considered in consultation with an editor. Do not mail hard copy manuscripts unless absolutely necessary. Plain fonts like Arial and Times New Roman are preferred. Double space throughout, one space after periods, indent new paragraphs, italicize titles. Hardcopy submissions should be double spaced with only one carriage return between paragraphs. Please print the author's name and address telephone number and e-mail address and approximate word count in the upper right-hand corner of each page. Photographs are also encouraged. It is recommended that you keep copies of your articles and images. Authors may contribute a biographical paragraph, a hypertext link to their e-mail address and personal website if they desire.

We also seek material in specialized subjects like alternative health, natural foods, wellness, personal growth, holistic living and remedies, personal fitness, pilgrimages, spirituality, the environment and sustainable living concepts for our directory issue.
